Each year, many hundreds of children arrive in the UK
seeking asylum; some arrive with documentation, many others do
not. Some of those young people become age-disputed,
either by the Home Office, or local authorities, whose job it
is to support unaccompanied children.
Assessing a young person's age is not an exact science.
It requires expertise and skill to draw together information
from a range of sources and come to a balanced conclusion.
As independent social workers we are experienced in
immigration and asylum matters and will conduct assessments
without bias or the pressure of working to tight budgets,
thresholds and performance targets.
For a comprehensive list of all current UK cases related to
Age Disputes and Age Assessment please see our Caselaw

In addition to Age Assessments, we are able to conduct independent
DOLS Best Interests Assessments,
Human
Rights and Expert Witness Reports.
